Happy days are here. Just this time in 2017, we launched a special video for all of our Flex Sealers. You know that shocking challenges are our specialty here at Flex Seal. It’s only fitting since our products give shocking results.
After cutting a motorboat in half, President Phil Swift put it back together with Flex Tape. He then jumped back in the boat and tested it out on the waters.
Let’s just say, the outcome was nothing we had seen before.
Flex Taping a Motorboat Back Together
Recap 1: Saw the Boat! In January 2017, Phil and the Flex Seal Team cut a motorboat in half. The average person would probably call a repairman if they found themselves in this type of situation. Or better yet, they may ditch the entire boat and consider getting a new boat altogether. But not Phil.
[Flex Tip: Flex Tape can go on almost any surface. It works on both wet and dry surfaces. It also works underwater. No other tape compares. Just make sure your surface is clean of oil, dirt, and grease.]
Recap 2: Flex Tape It. We used Flex Tape to tape the entire boat back together. For even the most horrific of projects, Flex Tape makes everything much easier. Just cut it to your desired dimension (with the backing still on). Then, remove the backing and stick the tape to your desired surface. Just use force and remove any air pockets or bubbles. The Flex Seal Team ran Flex Tape along the center of the motorboat. Since this was a heavy-duty project, we did double duty… using Flex Tape along the inside and outside of the boat.
[Flex Tip: Since Flex Tape works instantly, it doesn’t have a curing time. Its bond gets stronger over time. Give it 24 hours to reach its maximum level of grip. ]
Recap 3: Cruising Along. After letting the Flex Tape sit for over a day, Phil decided to test out his once-destroyed motorboat. The result? A smooth ride, coasting the calm waters. Flex Tape is your go-to sealant tape, blocking out air, moisture, and water.
Flex Tape has become quite the crowd favorite. Every single day, we get feedback from Flex Sealers who love our tape and have used it for the most ingenious projects. As we celebrate this huge milestone for Flex Tape, we send you a big “thank you.” We’re glad to know we can make your DIY projects more efficient.
